Optimism

Optimism is an Ethereum layer-2 ecosystem built on the OP Stack, governed by the Optimism Collective and funded from its OP token treasury. Its signature funding mechanism is Retroactive Public Goods Funding (Retro Funding), which rewards projects after they have demonstrated impact, alongside foundation missions and grants council allocations. Funding targets public goods, developer tooling, onchain applications, and OP Stack core development.
