Strategic Ecosystem Fund
The Optimism governance proposal 'Re-designating the User Airdrop Allocation as the Strategic Ecosystem Fund' re-designates the unspent Airdrop allocation balance of 546.9M OP to a Strategic Ecosystem Fund. The fund is administered by the Optimism Foundation and pays for partnership deals and incentives that grow OP Mainnet and OP Enterprise adoption, including bringing chains, protocols, institutions and infrastructure to the OP Stack and deepening onchain activity and liquidity on OP Mainnet. Deals are negotiated by the Foundation, individual deal terms are not disclosed, and cumulative deployment is reported through the annual Collective budget report.
