Stacks is a Bitcoin layer-2 protocol whose ecosystem funding was restructured by governance vote (SIP-031) into two allocating entities: Stacks Labs, the operational entity for core development and growth, and the Stacks Endowment, a long-term treasury vehicle that runs the grant programs. The Endowment deploys capital across ecosystem grants (Builder Grants up to $50k and Getting Started Grants up to $10k), DeFi liquidity provision, and protocol treasuries.
