Ethereum Foundation
aka Ethereum Foundation ESP, ethereum esp
Nonprofit supporting Ethereum protocol development, primarily through the Ecosystem Support Program (ESP), which runs targeted grants, academic rounds, PhD fellowships, and RFPs for infrastructure, research, and public goods, funding hundreds of projects annually. It paused its open grants program in 2025 due to high application volume and is redirecting toward more strategic allocation, while focused rounds such as the 2026 PhD Fellowship and academic grants continue.1,2,3,4
