Three-month bipartisan fellowship for AI governance/policy research, with DC and London (UK GovAI) tracks; London track fully funded with up to GBP 12,000 stipend, travel support, and visa sponsorship, running Jan-Apr 2027.
Interledger Foundation
A 12-month fellowship for researchers, advocates, educators, technical developers, and other practitioners working to reduce barriers to digital financial participation. Each fellow receives $72,000 in compensation plus a $20,000 project budget; the 2026 application window closed June 15 and is now under review.
Institute for Security and Technology
A practitioner program for mid-career nuclear-policy professionals combining an in-person AI bootcamp, virtual seminars, and applied policy labs. Applications for the inaugural cohort closed on February 28, 2026, and IST announced the 26 selected participants in April.
Principles of Intelligence
Principles of Intelligence runs PIBBSS as a three-month interdisciplinary AI safety research fellowship for about 20 researchers. The Winter 2026-2027 Cape Town cohort closed applications on 20 July 2026. The program page is collecting expressions of interest for later cohorts.
Center on Long-Term Risk
The Center on Long-Term Risk's SPI Fundamentals Program is an online course on AI conflict, bargaining, and safe Pareto improvements. The August 2026 cohort includes an optional paid capstone project and accepts applications through July 24.
Singapore AI Safety Hub
The Singapore AI Safety Hub (SASH) runs a 3-month full-time residential research fellowship (Sept 21 - Dec 4, 2026) with an SGD 5,000/month stipend, housing and travel covered, and up to USD 30,000 in compute per project. Applications close July 10, 2026.
Sovereign Tech Agency
A pilot supporting up to ten open-source maintainers to participate in standards work at the IETF, W3C, and ISO. Participants receive training, mentoring, travel and participation support, and fixed monthly compensation of EUR 4,800 to EUR 5,200; applications closed May 19, 2026.
Vals AI
3-6 month paid fellowship for researchers/builders working on AI evaluation benchmarks: $1,000-$2,500/week stipend plus unlimited API credits, GPU budgets, and mentorship; remote or SF.
