UNICEF Climate Ventures
Climate Ventures is a five-year (2025 to 2030) initiative of UNICEF's Office of Innovation that backs early and growth stage startups building technology for child-focused climate resilience, covering areas such as clean energy, water, disaster preparedness and climate-health. UNICEF says it plans to invest in at least 60 ventures with funding, mentorship and technical support, and to hold annual global calls. Its first call, Funding frontier climate tech for children's health, offers up to US$100K in equity-free funding to for-profit startups registered in a UNICEF programme country that commit to open source and have a working prototype. Applicants submit an Expression of Interest, which takes about 30 minutes. That call closed May 17, 2026 and is marked as under review, and no date for the next call is stated.
