SIGACT Community Grants
ACM SIGACT funds small grants of roughly $2K to $20K for work that serves the theory of computing community: conferences and events, ties to adjacent conferences and communities, the theory pipeline from undergraduates to young faculty, broadening participation, and seed funding for mission-aligned projects such as a new conference or journal. The total available depends on SIGACT's budget surplus from the previous fiscal year and varies by year. Applications go through an online form with the amount requested, a 1 to 2 page project description, a rough budget and other funding secured or requested. There are two rounds a year, due in March with decisions by April and in September with decisions by October. The page lists September 18, 2026 as the upcoming due date, which has passed; the next due date is not yet posted.
