RISC-V Developer Boards Program
The RISC-V Developer Boards program, administered by RISC-V International, gives free RISC-V boards donated by hardware vendors to open-source and ecosystem projects. Each board has its own program: applicants submit a proposal and usage plan, applications are collected and reviewed and ranked when a program closes, and boards go first to academia, software distributions and ecosystem projects. Recipients provide a monthly status and feedback and work with RISC-V marketing to document results; the page states no cost and no cash amount. The page was last updated on 13 January 2026, lists the Orange Pi RV2 program as on hold while 2026 options are assessed, and lists every other board under inactive programs.
