Protocol Guild Pledge (1% Pledge)

The Protocol Guild Pledge is the norm that projects with native tokens donate 1% of their token supply to Protocol Guild, a post by Tim Beiko reposted on January 30, 2024. Donated funds go to Protocol Guild's registry of Ethereum core protocol contributors; the Guild's home page says funds go directly to those individuals after a linear four-year vest, and lists 190 contributors. Protocol Guild's 2025 annual report says pledging projects account for roughly 83% of its total funding to date, names 12 projects pledging in 2024 and 4 in 2025, and reports all-time funding inflows of $183m at the end of 2025. The pages describe no applicant intake for recipients.
