2026 Community Microgrants
The OpenStreetMap Foundation's Local Chapters and Communities Working Group runs the 2026 Community Microgrants for small, practical local OSM activities such as mapping parties, field-mapping days, data-quality sprints and training sessions. A total of EUR 5,000 is available, with up to EUR 500 per activity. Informal mapping groups, local communities, community organisations and recognised OSMF Local Chapters may apply, not individuals acting alone. Applications ran from October 5 to October 25, 2026 (23:59 UTC) as proposal pages on the OSM Wiki. Evaluation runs October 26 to November 5, selected grants are announced November 7, 2026, and activities run from mid November 2026 to March 2027 with final reports due by April 30, 2027. The page says this is not a relaunch of the 2020 OSMF Microgrants programme.
