GPT-5.5 Bio Bug Bounty
OpenAI's GPT-5.5 Bio Bug Bounty pays vetted bio red-teamers to find a universal jailbreak that defeats OpenAI's predefined biosafety challenge. The original window ran from 23 April 2026 to 22 June 2026, covered GPT-5.5 in Codex Desktop only, and offered awards of $0 to $25,000, with $25,000 for the first universal jailbreak that clears all five questions and smaller awards for partial wins. All prompts, completions, findings and communications are under NDA. An OpenAI page says the bounty is becoming an ongoing private program, the OpenAI Bio Bounty Program, starting with GPT-5.6, with the top reward raised to $50,000, GPT-5.5 testing ending on 27 July 2026, and a rolling application open to past applicants without reapplying.
