NLnet Open Social Fund — ActivityPub & Fediverse
Apply for up to €50,000 to advance the open, federated social web — ActivityPub implementations, decentralised microblogging, link-sharing, forums, media hosting, and fediverse tooling qualify. A private NLnet sub-fund with fewer EU restrictions than NGI-backed calls; applications reopen September 3, 2026 with a deadline of November 3, 2026 at 12:00 CEST. Not listed among the three new Open Internet Stack programmes (Restack, CodeSupply, ELFA) — a separate, existing fund.
