NGI Mobifree
NGI Mobifree was an NLnet fund under the European Commission's Next Generation Internet programme (Horizon Europe grant No. 101135795) for mobile software that is more ethical and humane, built on free and open source software, libre hardware and open standards, in support of European digital sovereignty. Calls sought R&D proposals of EUR 5,000 to EUR 50,000, and the call text planned EUR 670,000 in grants. Nine calls were held, and the ninth and final call closed on December 1, 2025. In total 26 projects involving people from 21 countries were funded. The page states that no more new applications are sought for this fund.
