AIM-AHEAD
AIM-AHEAD is an NIH-funded consortium, launched by NIH in July 2021, that supports artificial intelligence and machine learning in health research and builds the workforce and community capacity to use it. Its programs are grouped under four goals: developing an AI/ML workforce, increasing knowledge and community engagement, using AI/ML for behavioral health, cardiometabolic health and cancer, and building community capacity and infrastructure. Research programs include the Consortium Development Program, Hub-Specific Projects, the Program for Artificial Intelligence Readiness and the Federated Network Program. Workforce programs include the Research Fellowship Program for early-career researchers within 10 years of their highest degree, which is currently on Cohort 4, and the CLINAQ Fellowship Program. Funding opportunities are posted through the consortium's Jobs Board.
