NEAR AI Agent Fund
The NEAR Foundation announced the NEAR AI Agent Fund on February 6, 2025 as a $20M liquid fund to invest in agent tokens. It targets fully autonomous and verifiable agents built on NEAR technology that go beyond basic social posting agents. Example areas listed include agent tokenisation, agent-curated order flow, on-chain gaming with AI characters, permissionless AI oracles, agent-curated savings accounts, market maker agents and social onboarding. The announcement says the fund would be deployed onchain over the following months, points builders interested in creating experimental agents and AI tokens to app.near.ai, and does not describe a separate application process.
