NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunities (NSTGRO)
NASA's Space Technology Mission Directorate sponsors U.S. graduate students pursuing master's or doctoral degrees to do space technology research through NSTGRO. Awards are grants to accredited U.S. universities on behalf of the student, with the faculty advisor as principal investigator. Each student is paired with a NASA researcher collaborator and completes visiting technologist experiences at NASA centers. Solicitations are released annually through NSPIRES. The Fall 2026 solicitation (NSTGRO26) was released on 18 December 2025, closed on 29 January 2026 at 6 PM ET and expected 35 awards.
