Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)
ROSES is NASA's Science Mission Directorate umbrella notice of funding opportunity for research grants in space and Earth science, normally released once a year. The current edition, ROSES-25, was released on 10 July 2025, and NASA keeps adding program elements to it, with recent additions in cryosphere, geosphere, planetary science facilities, astrophysics theory and heliophysics. Open due dates include 10 November 2026 for Planetary Science Enabling Facilities, 3 December 2026 for Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics Networks and 4 December 2026 for Cryosphere, with others running to March 2027. Several programs have no fixed due date. NASA plans to release ROSES-27, with about 50 program elements, no later than January 2027. Proposals are submitted through NSPIRES.
