Undergraduate Scholars Program

The Undergraduate Scholars Program is a competitive, renewable fellowship from the Mercatus Center for undergraduates at George Mason University, enrolled or applying, who want to learn about political economy. Fellows study political economy readings and attend conversations with Mason faculty and Mercatus scholars, and may hold jobs or other fellowships or assistantships. The award is up to $1,000 per semester, covering a stipend, meals, required readings, and advice on research, jobs and graduate school. Admissions are rolling, with applications evaluated monthly; the final deadline is May 30 for fall and January 15 for spring, and late applications may be considered for later semesters. The application requires a cover letter, resume, current Mason transcript and short-answer questions.
