LACMA Art + Technology Lab Grant
The LACMA Art + Technology Lab Grant supports artist-led projects exploring new technology and culture in a 'safe-to-fail' rapid prototyping environment. The Lab is presented by Hyundai Motor Company and made possible by Snap Inc. and Anthropic. Grants of up to $50,000 per project cover artist fees and direct costs including materials, typically over about two years, and recipients may also receive in-kind support such as mentorship, coaching and advice and access to technologies in development at partner organizations. Three to five projects are selected through the open call, supplemented by up to two invitational projects, and the call is open to individuals and collectives anywhere in the world with no prior technology experience required. Grant cycles run every two years; the 2026 call closed on April 22, 2026, applicants were to be notified by email in July 2026, and a Biennial Symposium begins in 2027.
