GovAI Summer Fellowship 2027
GovAI's Summer Fellowships are three-month, full-time, in-person opportunities to accelerate or launch careers in AI governance, running 7 June to 27 August 2027. In London, fellows join either the Research Track, an independent research project of their choice, or the Applied Track for non-research roles such as communications, policy, events, operations or fundraising. London fellows receive a £14,000 salary plus travel support, weekday lunches and a desk in the London office, and GovAI can sponsor temporary work visas. The Washington, DC fellowship pays a $24,500 stipend plus travel support, and only candidates with the right to work in the US can apply because GovAI does not sponsor visas for it. Applications are open to a broad range of backgrounds and close at 23:59 on Sunday 22 November 2026, UK time for the London tracks and EST for DC. Selection runs through a written application and a short abstract reasoning assessment, a paid remote work test with invitations in January, and a remote interview and reference checks in February, with decisions in March.
