Citizen Science Hubs 2026
Open Science NL funds the creation of citizen science hubs within Dutch research organisations, as central points where expertise, resources and infrastructure for citizen science are pooled. Applicants need a permanent contract, or a fixed-term contract at least as long as the project, at a Dutch university, university of applied sciences, university medical centre, KNAW or NWO institute, RIVM or KNMI. Each application needs a main applicant and at least one co-applicant from a different organisation, and each research organisation may submit at most one application; organisations funded under the 2024 call are excluded. The call budget is EUR 2,400,000 and the page states no per-hub maximum. It covers salary costs and project materials capped at 30% of the grant. Full proposals are due through ISAAC by 8 January 2027 at 14:00 CET.
