BridgeAI Deployment Catalyst Phase 1 2026
UKRI's BridgeAI Deployment Catalyst Phase 1 offers UK-registered SMEs a share of up to £5 million to deploy AI and machine learning solutions that support consequential judgements, recommendations or decisions. One Phase 1 pool spans three strands (decision-critical systems, operational systems, and assurance and compliance), and each application chooses one. Grant requests are £100,000 to £200,000 for three to five months. Projects are collaborative, with a UK AI SME lead whose solution is at technology readiness level 5 to 6, one UK medium or large deployer, and an optional third partner. Funding remains subject to full business case approval. Applications opened October 21 and close December 8, 2026 at 11:00am UK time.
