Software Freedom Conservancy

501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides fiscal sponsorship and infrastructure to free and open-source software projects, and does copyleft compliance work and litigation to defend software freedom. FOSS projects licensed under OSI-approved licenses can apply for membership by emailing a brief inquiry; member projects receive copyright management, donation facilitation, and administrative support (Conservancy retains 10% of processed revenue). It also runs the Outreachy internship program and the FOSSY conference.^1,2
