OpenAI Foundation
Initial $250M commitment to grants, partnerships, and direct work spanning independent measurement and forecasting of AI's economic impact, resourcing workers and communities through near-term disruption, and new approaches to sharing economic gains. First initiatives were still pending as of the May 27, 2026 announcement. This page is a source, not an application form.
Effective Ventures
Effective Altruism Funds accepts rolling applications for people, projects, nonprofits, and institutions through its Animal Welfare, EA Infrastructure, and Long-Term Future funds. Requests can range from $1,000 to $500,000; the Global Health and Development Fund is currently closed.
European Innovation Council (EIC)
EIC Accelerator supports high-risk, market-creating innovations from startups and SMEs through grants below EUR 2.5 million, optional equity investments of EUR 1-10 million, and business acceleration support. Short proposals are accepted continuously and full proposals use scheduled 2026 batching dates on 7 Jan, 4 Mar, 6 May, 8 Jul, 2 Sep, and 4 Nov.
ElevenLabs
A recurring internal-nomination fund supporting open-source projects that ElevenLabs engineers use in their work. Every six months, engineers nominate projects and the company distributes direct monthly support across maintainers and projects in audio, web infrastructure, testing, rendering, developer tooling, and language ecosystems.
Mercatus Center
Mercatus Center's low-overhead fellowship and grant program funding 'zero to one' ideas for social improvement, administered by Tyler Cowen since 2018. Runs dedicated geography tracks for India, Africa, the Caribbean, and Ukraine, and previously spun off Fast Grants for COVID-19 science funding. Rolling applications; minimum applicant age 13.
ENS
A 90-day ENS DAO pilot that distributes viewpoint-neutral incentives to active delegates and their delegators using time-weighted balances, recipient caps, and monthly claimless transfers. Governance authorized 90,000 ENS for rewards and 5 ETH for sponsored delegation gas, with unused funds returned to the treasury after the pilot. Distributions are claimless. There is no application form.
ETC Grants DAO
ETC Grants DAO funds projects that contribute to the Ethereum Classic ecosystem. Its current site reports more than 25 funded projects and over $850,000 deployed, and says the program remains committed to future ecosystem funding backed by BITMAIN and ANTPOOL.
Ethereum Foundation
The Ethereum Foundation's primary direct grants program, supporting free and open-source projects, builder tools, infrastructure, and research that strengthen Ethereum's technical, social, and research foundations. After pausing unsolicited open grants in August 2025, ESP relaunched in November 2025 as a Wishlist and Requests-for-Proposals program. Applicants apply against posted items; time-limited open rounds are a separate, currently empty track. Quarterly allocation reports break awards into community and education, cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs, developer tooling, consensus and execution layers, and application infrastructure.
Ethereum Foundation
ESP fellowship round funding PhD-level research in areas relevant to Ethereum, including blockchain, AI, and economics; the 2026 round offered $24,000 grants to current PhD students conducting research in these areas.
Ethereum Foundation
A $1 million Ethereum Foundation-backed program administered through Areta Market that subsidizes professional security reviews for Ethereum mainnet builders. Applications are organized into recurring cohorts, with eligible projects receiving support toward audit costs.
European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking
EuroHPC JU competitive Research and Innovation calls for HPC and quantum work in Europe. Four 2026 quantum calls are dated. Three close 30 September 2026. Quantum Machine Learning closes 28 January 2027.
Filecoin Foundation
Filecoin Foundation's open developer grants programme, run in numbered waves, with an Open Grants track (up to $50,000) and a smaller Microgrants track. Funded work must be open-sourced under a dual MIT/ Apache 2.0 license.

Proactive, milestone-based public-goods funding for core Filecoin infrastructure maintenance and RFPs in Web3 Builders and Web2 Object Storage verticals, distinct from Filecoin's Retroactive PGF rounds.
Arbitrum Foundation
Rolling Arbitrum OpCo grants for feasibility research and groundwork that can lead to larger DAO initiatives. The $50,000 fund offers up to $10,000 per grant across revenue, non-DeFi builder support, ecosystem unification, and open-track work.
Future of Life Institute
The Future of Life Institute's grantmaking, which funds research and projects reducing large-scale risks from powerful technologies -- advanced AI safety and governance, biotechnology/bio-risk, and nuclear weapons -- via targeted Requests for Proposals and Contests published on a regular but irregular basis. FLI does not accept unsolicited requests; applicants must respond to an open RFP, Contest, or fellowship call.
Future of Life Institute
FLI's recurring postdoctoral fellowship supporting technical research on AI existential safety.
FLOSS/fund
FLOSS/fund provides roughly $1M per year to free and open source projects; applicants create a funding.json manifest in their repo and apply through its public directory.
