Avalanche infraBUIDL(AI) allocated up to $15 million in direct and retroactive grants for AI-powered developer tools, autonomous agents, predictive systems, and AI integrations on Avalanche. The Foundation is winding the program down after its current allocations are completed.

Avalanche Foundation Research Grants funded academic and applied research on Avalanche network economics, with awards up to $50,000. The former proposal URL now serves generic Builder Hub documentation and no current apply path is published.
Amazon Research Awards (amazon.science)
Amazon Research Awards' Spring 2026 call supported academic post-training research using AWS Trainium. The May 13 submission deadline has passed, with decisions scheduled for August 2026; selected teams may receive up to $50,000 or $250,000 and beyond in AWS promotional credits.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS Imagine Grant is an annual program for registered nonprofits using cloud technology to advance their missions. The 2026 U.S. cycle offers three award categories, including up to $200,000 in unrestricted support and $100,000 in AWS credits for the Pathfinder Award. Public applications closed June 5 and the selection process continues through December 2026.
Confidential Computing Consortium
The Confidential Computing Consortium's 2026 Research Fund supported practical academic research in confidential computing. Applications closed June 1 and the two recipients were announced July 1.
Celo
CeloPG's H2 2024 Regional DAO process allocated 200,000 cUSD for existing and new regional DAOs. The historical cycle used five-day steward votes and is no longer an open application round.
Chainlink
The Chainlink Community Grant Program funded development teams and researchers building a more functional, accessible, and socially impactful smart contract economy. The documented application route now lives under Chainlink's archives path, so public intake is treated as paused until a current apply page is republished.
Google Chrome
A Google Chrome-run fund, fiscally hosted by Open Source Collective, that paid out to 10 open-source projects in the "advanced apps" space (progressive web apps and related web-platform capabilities) in a single distribution window in October 2022.
Circle
Circle's grants program for developers building USDC-powered applications, covering agentic economic activity, stablecoin FX, peer-to-peer payments, treasury management, prediction markets, and lending/borrowing. Gitcoin
Gitcoin launched Citizen Grants in 2024 with Citizens Retro, Citizens Innovate, and Citizens Forward. After the initial pilot, Gitcoin concluded the Innovate and Forward formats and shifted toward selective RFPs and direct grants. The governance forum category remains available, but no current general application window has been confirmed.
Compound DAO
The Compound Grants Program was a community-run program for Compound ecosystem contributions administered through Questbook. Its latest completed application cycle closed May 30, 2024, and no newer public intake is on file.
Sui Foundation
A former Sui Foundation liquidity-incentive program for DeFi builders. The moonshots URL now serves Sui marketing copy and the programs page no longer lists DeFi Moonshots as an open grant. Academic research awards and RFPs remain on the funding page as separate vehicles.
DFINITY / Internet Computer
The DFINITY Foundation's Developer Grants Program funds developers building on the Internet Computer, including a dedicated DeAI grant track. Public applications have been paused since late 2025 pending a program refresh. No reopen as of 2026-08-29.
Digital Brain Project
The Digital Brain Project funds a $5M Open Brain Modeling Initiative to support open, collaborative brain-modeling research.
Digital Brain Project
Funds PI-led teams at accredited institutions up to $500,000 over 36 months to acquire and share neuroimaging data for foundational models of intelligent behavior.
Digital Chamber
A 2026 call for state blockchain associations, university blockchain clubs, and community innovation groups advancing blockchain policy engagement and programming in the United States. The Digital Chamber's State Network offered five $2,000 grants, with applications due February 6 and recipients scheduled to be announced at the March 2026 DC Summit.
Ford Foundation
A collaborative research-grants initiative — Ford Foundation with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Mozilla's Open Source Support programme, Omidyar Network, and Open Society Foundations (fiscally hosted by Open Collective Foundation for the 2020 round) — funding research on the open-source code and digital infrastructure underpinning the internet, including how to sustain maintainer communities and address systemic inequities in the field. Ran across a 2018 wave (managed jointly by Ford and Sloan) and a larger 2020 collaborative wave.
