EuroHPC JU competitive Research and Innovation calls for HPC and quantum work in Europe. Four 2026 quantum calls are dated. Three close 30 September 2026. Quantum Machine Learning closes 28 January 2027.
NSF PESOSE invites proposals to translate open-source research into sustainable, secure ecosystems that address national and societal needs — scoping, establishing, and improving the safety, security, and privacy of open-source projects. Full proposals are due the first Tuesday in September and the first Tuesday in March, annually. Total program funding is approximately $40 million.
NSF X-Labs is a planned $1.5 billion initiative for large, multiyear awards to independent, full-time research and development teams pursuing technical breakthroughs outside traditional university and industry-lab structures. The first two topic announcements closed in July 2026. Scientific Instrumentation for Sensing and Imaging proposals were due 13 July 2026. Quantum Systems interconnects and integrated photonics proposals were due 24 July 2026. NSF has said additional topics will be announced.
