GitLab
GitLab's 2026 AI Hackathon invited developers to build agents on the GitLab Duo Agent Platform for planning, security, compliance, and deployment workflows. The online competition ran from February 9 to March 25, attracted more than 6,900 participants, and offered $65,000 in cash prizes.
Google.org
Google Cloud's Rapid Agent Hackathon ran online from May 5 through June 11, 2026. The concluded challenge offered $60,000 in cash prizes for open-source agents built with Gemini, Google Cloud Agent Builder, and participating partners' tools.
Google DeepMind
A Google DeepMind and Kaggle competition with $200,000 in prizes for new evaluations of learning, metacognition, attention, executive functions, and social cognition in AI systems. Submissions closed on April 16, 2026, with results scheduled for June 1.

United States Department of Agriculture
A completed USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service challenge for detection, control, and eradication tools addressing New World screwworm. USDA selected 40 projects for about $105 million in total funding after the February 23, 2026 application deadline.
Enel Foundation
The second wAtt-boost call offered training and two EUR 10,000 awards to youth-led African startups working in renewable energy, AI, smart grids, and climate technology. Applications closed on June 29, 2026.
